The Expo

The Latino College Expo hosts an annual College Fair where Latino students meet with representatives from over 100 college and universities interested in attracting qualified Latino students. The College Fair provides students with the opportunity to apply for scholarships and free scholarship searches; to receive individual counseling with trained counselors; and to register for ongoing college preparation through free membership in the Collegiate Society.

Scholarships

The Latino College Expo has awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to high school students of Latino heritage. Among the colleges and universities recipients have attended are Alfred University, Baruch College, Brandeis University, Carleton College, Long Island University, New York University, Pace University, SUNY Stony Brook, Rutgers University, Barnard College, Middlebury College, University of Miami, Brooklyn College, Parson's School of Design and Oberlin College.

Summer College Planning Institute

The Summer College Planning Institute is a one day intensive that features workshops on the admissions process for Latino students. Workshops address the following questions: What are the different kinds of colleges/universities I can apply to? How do I choose the right college? How do I apply to college? How do I get financial aid? How do I write a personal essay?

Collegiate Society

The Collegiate Society provides free year round college preparation to Latino students with a 75 GPA. Through membership to the Collegiate Society students participate in organized visits to colleges and universities; take SAT Prep classes; receive assistance with financial aid applications and scholarship searches; receive a newsletter quartely with tips and articles; and meet with representatives from private and public colleges and universities.
